Christmas Pictures

Well, we braved another year of pictures. This is the hardest thing for Brennen to do, is smile on command for a picture. He does not like to be in the picture, he likes to take it. Now Bonnie is totally the opposite, so the two together play well with a camera, until both of them have to smile and say cheese.

Giving Thanks

Sorry it has taken so long for me to blog. So much going on around here.

We are all doing fine. Bonnie and Brennen are growing up so fast, they are 4 and 5 now and sometimes seems to be going on 16 and 17. However, we are having so much fun together. Bonnie and I are trying to do more girly things together and Brennen and Shannon have started doing men, men, men things. They are so cute.

Here are some pictures of Halloween. Bonnie was a Razorback Cheerleader and of course, Brennen was a Razorback Football player.

We had a great Thanksgiving at my sisters house this year. Here are some pictures of Bonnie and Brennen at their Feast Day at school.

They had so much fun showing us all the wonderful things they made.

The summer wrapped up in one blog

I know it has been forever since I blogged last, however this summer has flown by and we have been SO busy. Just some highlights from the last two months...

1. First, everything began with song camp at Meadowview in Mesquite. The kids and I went to teach 40 2nd grade through 6th graders new songs so they could perform in a program on Friday night. However, starting on Monday I lost my voice and could not sing, so this week was very difficult, however I made it through.

2. The next week I went to work at a summer camp here in Van Alstyne, at the Methodist Church. I loved it. I met so many people and got to know so many of the mothers of the town that had small children. I worked hard, however I really enjoyed getting plugged in to so many of the stay at home moms in town.

3. The next week we were off to Arkansas with my family. There were 12 of us and we went camping in Withrow Springs State Park and then moved to Degray State Park. It was a hard and fast trip, however I really enjoyed spending time with the family. My dad always talked about a family trip but we never made time. So now that we missed that chance with him, we made time and had a blast doing it. I can not wait for the next one.

The family went with Shannon to the University of Arkansas so he could see the field and be a part of his favorite football team. Our children and our neice and nephew have given in and wanted to buy Razorback hats and shirts. My sister says they are brainwashed. I think it is adorable.

We had so much fun. Our kids enjoyed spending time together.

4. Two weeks later Shannon and I packed up and were off to Mountain Fork Christian Camp. We are counselors there every year and last year Shannon became the co-director of the Jr. Session, so this is a big week for both of us. We had so much fun! We had a great group of kids this year and I had so much fun seeing friends and talking with family. I can not imagine not having camp, it is so fulfulling and such a blessing to my heart.

5. After a few weeks home that just blazed by, we set out on a 12 hour car ride to New Mexico. Shannon was asked to do a Gospel Meeting for a friend that he went to school with, so off we went and had a blast, as you can imagine. Jeff and Sherrie let us stay in their home and just went out of their way to make us comfortable. Then their 4 and 2 year olds made Bonnie and Brennen feel right at home. We had so much fun and were so sad when we had to leave. Brennen wanted to stay and their son Ethan wanted to come home with us. We were so blessed by that church family and will continue to pray for not only their growth in numbers but most importantly their growth spritiually with our God and Father.

Well, that is it. The summer is not over, we still have places to go and people to see, however it is slowing down at least. I hope everyone out in blog land is doing well and having a wonderful summer!

Family Fun

Well, we as a family finally took some time to spend together. B and B wanted to go to the zoo, so off we went. I must say, I had so much fun.

We went to the small zoo in Gainsville, it is about an hour from our house. It is so cute and the kids loved it. To all of our surprise, Bonnie fed the goats along with Brennen. This was stepping outside of her box totally. For a child that does not typically like animals up close, she did a great job and we were so proud of her.

We also road a small train, which to Brennen was the best thing on earth. He loves trains, so to ride a train was the icing on the cake. He loved it. Shannon and I laughed at the kids the whole ride. They were on cloud nine and could not stop smiling and pointing at everything. It was so fun to watch them take everything in. I love the innocence of children.

Of course, after a long day at the zoo we must stop and refresh ourselves, so we stopped at Wendy's and ordered some frosty's. YUMMY!!

What a GREAT day we had as a family!!!!

Graduation for Shannon

Sorry it has taken so long for me to update. It has been so busy the last two months. Well, it has finally happened. Shannon graduated with his Masters on May 3rd. We went for a long weekend and had so much fun, hanging out as a family. My mom went with us to Lubbock on Thursday, Ken and Kathy, my in-laws came up on Friday and my sisters and nieces came up late Friday night. Saturday was the icing on the cake. We just laughed, talked, and had so much fun the whole weekend.

It's SNOWING!!!

It has been the most unbelievable week ever. One day it is sunny and hot, to the point that you have to use the air conditioner in your car, and then the next day it is freezing and snowing. Then the warm weather comes back and the next day it is snowing again. No wonder our children at church and school cannot stay well. Well, here are some great pictures of my babies playing hard in the snow with their daddy.

Here is Bonnie making her snow angel, and if you look closse enough you will see that both of my children were still in their PJ's.

This was supposed to look like a snowman, however my little munchkins and their daddy tried hard and this is what we were left with.

It snowed again today, however we did not get to play in it. We are tomorrow with some friends from church and school, so I will again post more pictures tommorrow.

Can you beleive I have posted more in the last week or two than I have the last 6 months. Love everyone out there and hope all of you are as blessed as I am.

Sorry, that it has taken so long for me to update my blog. Between holidays, school, children, church, and family, I have been so busy. In addition, when I am not busy, I do not choose to spend my extra time on the computer.

I finished my final for my Hebrew Prophetic Literature class last night and today I choose to update my life, clean my house, and spend some time with the family.

Here are some pictures of the kids; they are growing up so fast. Every time I turn around, we have to buy new clothes and shoes, because they are getting so tall. Sometimes I find myself staring at them and memorizing what they look like so I will remember these beautiful babies as they are today. I know, before I turn around, they will be ten years old and then they will be teenagers. My only prayer is that they will love the Lord and live faithfully for him on purpose. God has blessed my life with my family and I only hope that all of you out there in blog land are blessed richly and loving life.

The picture with the kids in a chair is special because they love sitting in papaw's chair when we visit my mom. We went and spent a few days with mom and the family and enjoyed every minute. It is so cool right now, because Bonnie is just now understanding I have sisters and brothers and we are all best of friends. I love that she knows what a family is and that she pretends she has babies and a family of her own. Brennen however just wants dogs! I love my babies!!!
